Thermax, in association with CII and Gaurav Pratisthan (popularly known as Pani Panchayat) launched a project for watershed management in Pondhe village, 70 km from Pune. The project aims to help the villagers to manage their water resources in a sustainable and equitable way.

Thermax also gifted cycles to the village children to help them attend school, five kilometers away. Earlier, as there was no bus service, they had been walking and drop out rates were high. At an Independence Day function, the cycles were handed over to students who promised that they will be completing their high school education.
